This election has nothing to do with issues. It has everything to with race, fear and paranoia. I will never vote for a Republican that represents the non-inclusion of all people. Blaming our problems on people that are not white is not right. Corporations are interested in keeping their profits up at the expense of workers. Walmart etc have figured that out. There is no filter down process. I've voted democrat for 40 years, this is sickening.
Regardless of what happens the Clinton camp is shiittting bricks right now. This is gonna be an interesting night to say the least. I got my popcorn going.

Disagree? FU come out and say it-- I want to know who you are- you are agreeing with a racist agenda!
I disagree Jim. I dont see it as a racist agenda and neither should you. Deporting people who are here illegally in the U.S. isnt racist. Its enforcing the law. I have no problem with people coming here legally. I have a problem with a president who picks and chooses which laws he chooses to enforce. Im not a trump supporter but i voted for him to keep the clinton crime family out of washington. I am the son of an immigrant. My father immigrated from Greece and did it legally. The democrats see illegals as votes and that is the only reason they dont inforce immigration law.

I disagreed Jim. So your telling me the majority of Americans are racist. Enough corruption is enough. That's what we voted against. I also think Trump is an azz sometimes but he makes more sense than watching our country go bankrupt which any other country would be by now. We solve the problem by printing more money.
@Bigshizza I did not vote for Trump, OR Hillary but I could not disagree with your attitude any more. I like you, think you're a pretty good guy. But "FU to anyone who does not agree with me"? No brother I cannot agree with that.
Say, did anyone else notice monkeys flying out their butts when they woke up this morning?

I don't blame The Shizz for blowing off some steam - that's what happens when we're passionate about something. I may be wrong, but I suspect alcohol may have had something to do with his FU to Trump voters too.
I don't think I'll ever understand how two groups can look at the same thing and see two completely different pictures. It seems like R's and D's are just wired differently. It's not like 'the other side' (regardless of which side you're on) is just a bunch of idiots, stupids, etc.; I have plenty of very intelligent friends who vote the exact opposite from me, who see an entirely opposite picture. That doesn't make them (or me) bad, evil, racist, or maybe even wrong - it's just how people are wired. They think one way, and input from outside their head goes through their own filter.
In the mean time, it's up to each one of us to live our lives with integrity, and treat those in our worlds with dignity and grace. Each of us has inherent value. Each of us need to love and be loved. The events that play out on a national level no doubt have an impact on every one of us. But the bottom line is we can only control what we ourselves do and who we are. I hope I can embody kindness, strength and grace to those around me, and bring hope and change in my own little world.
I really hope that we on this forum can put some of our disagreements aside, and either learn to dialogue kindly, or just go back to agreeing to disagree and get lit up. Nobody has ever won this argument about politics; nothing I've ever said has convinced any liberal that their world-view is upside down, or visa versa. Why not remember that we're here as Brothers of the leaf, and let that unite us, and keep the strong friendships that have grown here as the cornerstone.
Thanks for that, @peter4jc . Something occurred to me many years ago while having a discussion with a woman, good woman, who saw sexism in everything. It applies to racism as well. I've probably said it here before, but:
If I see racism / sexism where there is no racism / sexism, it is I who am the racist / sexist.
Don't fall for it, friends. We're all in this together, don't let those who wish to divide us in order to rule us fool you into falling for "racist / sexist" traps. It's happening all too often. Two examples from the past year:
1) A white cop shoots a black man in the back, because the man started running. No other reason. It turned out he owed child support, but the cop didn't know that.
That's racism.
2) A black thug begins beating a white cop who asked him not to walk down the middle of the street, beats the cops face in and tries to grab his gun. The cop shoots the thug.
That's not racism.
There's no comparison between the two events, and yet they are digested as the same material by most of the information outlets in America.
This is tragic. Wag-the-dog, control-the-narrative, divide and conquer. It isn't good.
Let's rise above it.

Say, didn't Kim K and Kanye swear they'd leave the U.S. if Trump were elected? A happy thought.

There is a laundry list of celebs who said that. They all were on Twitter last night. I doubt one of them follow through though.
I is not smart but I learned a long time ago that there are 3 things in life that many can't seem to talk about or too and the conversation will remain civil.

Just so you know Jim. I disagreed with you. I hit the disagree button on perhaps all of your ridiculous statements on election night. Peter alluded to the possibility you may have been drinking but, I offer no such leeway. I've been holding my reply for a few days in order to think carefully about whether I should just let it go or say something. I will ask you to remember the time you called for another member to leave the forum because of political differences and clashes. Your behavior on election night was worse than anything I saw during that other time.
