Cold fronts about to come through, got the 50lbs of pre-emergent down just in time, free watering in.
The hell is "pre-emergent"? Sounds like jailbait to me.
Our state name "DullAware" comes from an old Lenape Indian expletive meaning "another rainy weekend".
“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)

It’s a type of herbicide that prevents weeds from germinating...which then over take the yard and have to be sprayed with post-emergent herbicide ex. 2,4D, Dicamba, Atrazine, Trimec etc.

Three and a half inches in the rain gauge. It cleared for a few hours and then started to lightly rain over last night into this AM. Yesterday it was 70 today right now it's 44. Looks like there maybe another storm developing in the Gulf.
Caught a little rain last night. Gawd knows we need it. It's cool and cloudy today, I loaded my pipe last night with some Revor plug intending to smoke it last night but was too tired so that's what I'm doing this morning after fixing breakfast. The high humidity helped rehydrate this dry old plug, seems to be smoking pretty good today. Old codger's blend

2 X 6 walls, R40 attic insulation, triple pane windows and now 15 inches of snow on the roof. It stsys pretty toasty inside. It's actually warm out today; 30 above. Nothing like a 60 degree swing in a day or 2.
I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...
Got a little rain over the weekend. 15.79 inches to be exact. We are lucky, our property is 8 feet above sea level. Fountain was overflowing and water up the driveway to the back tires of the car. Never got that high before, even during a hurricane.

Warmed back up from last week and now my cherry tree is flowering again.
Time to switch to day smoking.
Rain finally stopped. Almost 4 inches yesterday. Lots of flooding here. One news crew had a bridge start washing away on them live on air.
Snowing...again.
