We've had a feels like of -40 for a couple of days with 35 to 50 mph winds. Had to hang up blankets at the bottom of the stairs to try and conserve more heat and have folks sleep in the living room. Our roof just bleeds heat, 2x4 rafters and no attic space for blown-in insulation.
Snow-blowing has been a real treat with these temps.

The Bay area is getting pounded right now with much needed rain from a level 3 storm. I'm waiting for the worst to pass before I get on the road today.
This has been described as the strongest storm of the season.

Cold as Fvck. Might hit the negatives tonight
Yep. I'm in PA too. Too cold to sit on my enclosed porch for a smoke, even with the propane heater running.
What part of PA? Too cold on the patio for me too. Not used to sitting in the house with the family at night. Need to drink myself to sleep or something

safe travels, Chris.
Warmed way up….temps in the single digits both sides of 0 depending on the time of day. Feels almost like spring!
I arrived safely, rained pretty much the whole way.
61 today, hard to believe it was -8 last week. Times they are a changin.
Yep, about 75 degrees warmer than last Thursday. 100 if going by wind chill.

Sounded like my house went through a car wash last night, several times. Got a welfare check email from work asking if I was OK. Doing great.
That salted our roads so heavily that I think I used a quart of washer fluid just getting home today.

Cold and wet, but all the bad stuff is 2 or 3 hours North of me.
Mostly just black ice here.

Gotta love the irony of a band from Texas canceling the next few dates in the Midwest because of weather... In Texas.

Guess I picked a good time to head to Florida! 73 here, but a little rain later!
It's raining again, and a bit windy, which I'm afraid it's going to cancel my weekend plans.
Cold as Fvck. Might hit the negatives tonight
