Disagreed because there's no thumbs down, closest thing I can find. I think those Camacho Liberty's have jumped the shark, but I haven't tried one in quite a while.

They’ve not been very good for several years in my opinion.

Hey @TheCigarChick any way we can turn off the annoying warning saying "you're about to leave our site" page when we click on a link? I don't seem to remember a problem on here with predators, other than @MrShrek of course

    Hey there...

This is something added in by the hosting platform, VanillaX - not anyone at CIGAR.com. It seems to be part of a recent update made to their software, which trickles down to all users.

Retailers who attend the 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show will get the exclusive opportunity to order a new size of the La Palina Goldie, and a limited size at that.

The company will be releasing the La Palina Goldie Prominente exclusively to retailers who attend the trade show, with just 300 boxes of 10 cigars being offered. The Prominente is a 6 1/2 x 48 grand corona vitola, and it can only be ordered while on the show floor.

The Goldie line is arguably La Palina’s best known and best received line. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, with some of the latter classified as medio tiempo leaves, a high priming that is only found on some of a crop’s plants, and which are known for their distinctive strength and flavor. Since its debut in July 2012, it has been made at El Titan de Bronze in Miami, with Maria Sierra rolling every Goldie release until 2017.

William Paley, owner of La Palina, created the line as a way to honor women in the cigar industry, naming it for his grandmother, Goldie Drell Paley. The factory where it is made is also woman-owned.

The Prominente will be the 10th size in the La Palina line once it is released:

    AME Cigars

RESTOCK: Rojas How to Become a Cigar Specialist

The ultimate box to become a cigar specialist. Each cigar is comprised of leafs from all over Nicaragua. When you grab a cigar out of here, you're getting a cigar rolled from the same wrapper, binder, and filler, seed AND Priming. Each section consists of a different leaf. End your specialist training by smoking the center mystery cigars and putting your palette to the test and guessing what they're comprised of. This box has a total of 32 cigars.

I've seen posts about tobacco leaves falling off of trucks, some of the guys will save them, case them, and smoke them as pipe tobacco. This AME press release with their "leaves from all over Nicaragua" reminds me of this. Did they just fall off trucks? Doesn't sound good, sounds like scrap.

    Get off my lawn.

I don't believe Noel Rojas would do that.

CIGAR NEWS: UNITED CIGARS ABUELO ANNOUNCED

Nashua, NH – United Cigars made the decision a couple years back that they wanted to find the right tobacco and partner with the right manufacturer for their latest launch; Abuelo. For the Abuelo line it seemed almost fitting to go with the Eiroa family that has been a longtime friend. This puro offers a smooth medium-to full-body, pulling rich earthy notes from the soils of Honduras followed by coffee grounds and leather.

Abuelo means grandfather is Spanish and the Abuelo line pays respect to our elders, the man who paved the way for all of us. Handmade in Honduras at Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A in Las Lomas, Jamastran Honduras, under the watchful eye of tobacco legend Julio R. Eiroa. Abuelo uses authentic Honduran grown, Cuban-seed Corojo filler and binder wrapped with pristine, dark Honduran Habano wrapper.

“This is 100% tobacco from our farm,” said JRE Tobacco Co.’s President Justo Eiroa. “Filler and Binder are authentic Corojo with our Habano wrapper. A true puro from Julio’s farm.”

    Nieto – 5 x 50 – $10.50 – Box of 20
    Nieta – 5 ¼ x 44 – $10.00 – Box of 20
    Padre – 6 x 52 – $11.50 – Box of 20
    Gran Abuelo – 6 ½ x 60 – $12.50 – Box of 20

    Wrapper: Honduran Habano
    Binder: Honduran Corojo
    Filler: Honduran Corojo

All sizes of Abuelo are currently rolling out and shipping to retailers.
