Thanks guys. She would have been 89 next month. The last few months has been a steady loss of quality of life. Comes a point, there's things worse than death. She was ready to go home.

Hiring a drywall company that doesn't know how to use a straight edge or a level. I coulda done this just as badly and saved 1500 bucks.

I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...

    Wow!
Looks like one of my drywall jobs.
I'd make them come fix it.
My house walls are so out of whack that a level corner would look out of place. LOL!

Trim the panel and fit it.
I get pissed when I have to trim 2" off a panel, then another 14" off the other end to line up the seam on a stud. Unfortunately, sometimes to get it to look right, it's what you have to do. At least, since I'm not a very good carpenter, it's what I end up doing.

Now metal, that's an entirely different thing for me. I can make anything out of metal.
    Wood, not so much. LOL!

Can't really trim much off that.. It's a shower wall and needs to line up with the base to look right. I figure a robust enough shower door assembly and a bit of paint will hide it enough until I burn this joint to the ground for the insurance. :D:D

I moved out of a house like that. Would spend all summer and thousands of dollars on it, just to have more problems during winter.
Finally had enough of it and got rid of it and bought the place we have now.
The place we have now was a fixer upper, but we knew that going in and the structure is sound, so we had good bones to start with.

Nothing worse than buying a house and finding out all the hidden issues that cost as much to fix, as you paid for the house.

Dang, that bites. I had to cut my vHerf short because the groceries got delivered. After I put them away I treated myself to a freshly delivered Klondike bar. :D

Just had to jump my wife's car. That's what happens with these newfangled cars, all the electrons leak out of the battery to power the thing while it sits idle.
