Is that what motivated you to study at the Culinary Institute?
Anything has to be better the a hospital’s liquid diet. Worlds worst broth, soups, and always the green jello. 🤢🤮
In 1967 on the hump in Vietnam we had C-Rations produced in 1952. We had 12 different rats to a case. We ate them, two a day for 11 months. Ham and Beans was hated so much we called it Ham and Motherfu--ers. Another hated one was Ham and Eggs although I found a can of Ham and Eggs in my pack after going without resupply of food, water, and ammo for four days. I shared it with my squad and we each had two spoonfuls. Best thing we ever ate.
I hate hospital bills. Good lord, a 2 day stay in the hospital, $60,000 (How many nights in a penthouse suite in Vegas is that??) 105 mile ride in an ambulance, $5,000 Fortunately, my max out of pocket capped what I owe, but still all the "dis-allowed" BS and all that. Ouch.
On the good side, we sent those MF'ers a check today to pay them off.
Granted, I'm alive, but shouldn't the medical industry be supplying the vaseline?

Oh, wasn't that on the list of charges? Just add $10,000 then.
Hospital. Operation to have a bullet removed. I snore. Supplied my own breath write.so I wouldn't bother anyone (they do work). Got charged an extraordinary amount of money every time I used one. Reported it to the insurance company, they did nothing, they did not want to be bothered. Who is ripping off who?

I don’t know what I would have done without insurance. In just the last 12 months I bet I am closing in on 300K. I have always went with the high deductible plans because they are cheap and I had never used them but I have to say it worked out because my out of pocket for 2019 and 2020 was still less than 5K.
Forgetting to defrost something for dinner. Takeout isn't cheap.

I consider myself fortunate, cause between my insurance and savings, I won't be making payments to the hospital for years. Granted, it was money slated for other things, but not having debt to the hospital is more important.
The boss lady was kind of upset, cause it bites into money for my front porch/man cave, but we have enough supplies for it, that all but the laminate flooring will be done. I can live with that.
I have the TV on the wall, that is the important thing. LOL!
When you buy the "Only One Left", and then checkout to see "Backordered".
I hate that lumber has almost doubled in price in the last 6 months. For that matter, most things have. But when you are trying to get projects done and figure one cost and then go to get lumber and it's almost double is a really irritating.
If I lived somewhere that didn't have lumber mills everywhere I'd understand it, but I can literally throw a rock from my house and hit the lumber mill.
Just had a deck put on the back of the house and the price of wood doubled since I got the estimate two months ago!
http://nahbnow.com/2020/07/lumber-prices-hit-2-year-high-up-50-since-april/
It's all Trump's fault.
When I was building the deck months ago I had to make multiple trips because the lumber would sell out within hours of being delivered. Same with the appliance shortage, people stuck at home and doing projects they had been putting off.
Been salvaging 2x4 & 2x6 lumber and materials from the derelict buildings on my land. Can't find much around here and stuff like ply and OSB are unobtainable. Still looking for that cheap sawmill I can drag up there to cut my own....
I hate the ammo gouging/shortage/hoarding going on...seriously $600+ for a 1000rds of cheap @ss steel case 9mm dirty powder garbage WTF and it's even Out of Stock! What the hell is going on??? Was going to go shoot at my friends family ranch...
What is going on is ammo hoarding maybe....? I know I am.
@jd50ae said: What is going on is ammo hoarding maybe....? I know I am.
I’ve got plenty of 12ga. 2 3/4” and 3” magnum in various shot sizes an slugs but only around 950rds. in 9mm, which if you go shooting you can easily shoot a couple hundred rounds at once no problem. The price for garbage steel case dirty 9mm ammo costs 300% higher than mil spec, 115g, super clean powder, brass cased did not even a year ago.
There is a copper shortage, due to reduced mining. This could be slowing down ammo production. Ammo makers claim they're making it as fast as they can. Demand seems to be greater than supply. We have about five million new guns owners in the U.S. and they are buying whatever they can get their hands on. Guns and ammo have both been flying off the shelf since the start of the pandemic. Then when BLM decided to riot every chance they can it kicked into overdrive. Next year will be better, supply will catch up as demand lessens.
Next year is no good! This year is when I have to shoot people.
Find a used reloading setup on gunbroker, ebay, fecesbook, whatever. Components seem to be available still & brass is free at the range. For around $150 in parts you can load 500 of your own.

Components available? Nothing but empty shelves down here and online searches show little available. Especially in common calibers.
^^^ The biggest bottleneck I'm seeing here is primers. I load .38, .357, .40, .45 ACP & Colt so I use both large & small primers. Everything else is pretty available though and I'm finding a drive to the outlying towns yeilds decent results. I also cast my practice bullets; cheaper and lead isn't hard to find.
Google retired their Google Play Music in favor of Youtube Music. I had previously uploaded much of my CD collection to Google Play Music and then transferred it over to Youtube Music grudgingly. Now they've cut off Google Play Music and I'm hating using Youtube Music. Currently shuffle playing all my uploaded songs.
I have to figure out how to get this to work on my phone. I've got a separate Youtube account not tied to my other Google accounts, but the music is tied to my Google Accounts so it's on a different account.

True. You happy with whatcha got? Lol....
Listening to my music library, some of the uploads have flaws from dust and disc damage, kind of funny. Amazon used to offer a digital music library but canned that a few years ago.
