I asked @Andrew_Dzikoski on the phone about something similar a while ago and he said that they get boxes and 5ers already pre-sorted and prepacked from the cigar company. It's why you'll sometimes see 5ers sold out and boxes still for sale, or the opposite. I had called and asked "If I bought 4 5ers of something that came in a box of 20, could I just get the box for the same price?"
