    Too bad that place is 1300 miles from Key West.  Inside bears a slight resemblance to Sloppy Joe's on Duval St. Where Hemingway DID NOT hang out.  The original Sloppy Joe's where Hemingway hung out from 1933-37 is now "Capt. Tony's", on Greene St.  Capt Tony Tarracino was a true character in his own right.  He would sit at the front door of the bar and chat with his customers like he knew them his whole life.  I have video of he and I yakking up a storm about when Jimmy Buffet played there in the early 70s just for tips.  Shortly before he passed in 2008 he sold the bar to a dentist from Plantation FL.  Hasn't been the same since.

    Was there on my honeymoon 23 years ago June 1. Observed some kitties while touring Mr. Hemingway residence, though I did not get a chance to count their toes. Had I done so, I bet they would have had six toes, at least that is what I would imagine them to have.
