Yikes, and I feel sorry for myself when I'm out there in the 30s bundled up like Ralphie's brother in Christmas Story. Got to replace a tire. This is what happens when your wheel doesn't spin as you land at 140 mph. Through the tread, all 10 plies of cord and into the air inside, which promptly escaped.
I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...0 -

Not sure. It's the inboard tire of a main gear. My guess is there was slush in the inboard brake from takeoff and it froze in flight. Tire retails for $540. We got about 15 landings out of it.
