It's funny that pirates were always going around searching for treasure, and they never realized that the real treasure was the fond memories they were creating. - Jack Handey4 -
Dogs cleaned, too windy to roast coffee (backflow into vent and risk of power outage) so time to buy a replacement car remote case and pick up a snack at Jack before family night at Olive Garden (not sure which is worse)
Better roast tonight, coffee supplies dangerously low.Join us on Zoom vHerf (Meeting # 2619860114 Password vHerf2020 )0 -

Spent two hours tying 8 Sawyers Killer Bugs size 14 on 2 x long 2 x heavy wet fly hooks. Four to give away four to keep for myself. The pattern was developed in the 1930s by river keeper Frank Sawyer in England. Caught fish then catches fish now.

Me to. I wrap the copper wire four times and add two snug half hitches then a small dot of super glue.

Found a couple versions that just glue the last 4 wraps down. I'm going to give that a try. I usually tie them on 12 & 14 scud hooks.I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...1

I am happy with it, worth the price in my opinion. I like that the water is heated in the well itself, eliminates bacterial and fungal growths common with other brewers. Presoak, programmable brew temperature are reliable.
