I did that with all the “female name” political texts I got. Didn’t take long for them to stop asking for my vote

    You need a good trapper.

Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.

So many people won't get that joke, but it hit home here. I love watching Lawrence Welk, my Grandma Lucy was a big fan and I think I like it because it reminds me of her. I don't think I really liked it all that much when I was real young.

I even got to visit Lawrence Welk Village in San Diego when I was sent there to test the antenna transmission line system at a new cell site that my company was working at. Scary place, there were no stop signs at any of the intersections and these great big cars being driven around by some folks who should have had their licenses revoked years ago.

I like it too, in spurts; depending on my mood, it has a calming effect as it harkens me back to a time when things were simpler.

I hated that show with the shiny clean dancers and accordion. I was a dropout before they were fashionable (to other dropouts).

It was too corny to watch as a young man, on this end too. Today, it's a different story.

Muzak on cough syrup at nap time.

It's best balanced with vintage episodes of Soul Train.
