On the back porch finishing my coffee, enjoying my cigar and watching the bald eagle that regularly sits and surveys my hay field. This morning he was joined by a very large Golden Eagle in the same tree. Goldens are a lot more unusual than Bald which are common here, particularly in the winter.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.

The natural world. It has a lot to teach us, things we knew but have forgotten.

I love peeing outside. Staring at the blue sky through a canopy of green leaves, with a warm breeze blowing on my junk... it's mesmerizing... doesn't get much better than that. And I don't know why exactly. Reconnecting w/ nature? With a part of my childhood? Don't know why it's the best, but I love it.

The Tau Herculids meteor shower may light up the skies over North America on May 30 and 31. Or it may not. There's a chance we might pass through the thickest part of the comet fragment that is creating the debris, in which case the night skies will be filled with shooting stars.

It'd be something to be peeing outside during the meteor shower, maybe not, you'd probably get spotted.

One of my employees once asked me if I was going out to visit the pisona bush. Took me a bit to figure out what she meant.
