got a call at 2:00 that the basement water alarm was sounding in the main house, back now after replacing it (it is always the float relay that fails). Is it some kind of cosmic law that these things happen at nighttime on a weekend in the plumbing world?

So icy up here I went to work drove an hour one way and back roads are so icy had to turn around and go back to shop.

Hate being stupid. Left the bed light on in the truck last night after pumping heating oil and killed the battery. It’s been on the charger for 2 hours; still no start. Great way to impress the new boss…..

Being a great procrastinator, I spent the afternoon clearing leaves from the north and east sides of the house and fences. Still need to do the yard, but since it's supposed to rain tonight/tomorrow I'll probably get back on it in a couple of weeks.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.

Why is it, that when my alarm goes off at 7am and I hit the snooze I can fall into a deep and dreamy sleep for the ten minutes of the snooze timer but I was wide awake and unable to sleep for the hour and a half before the alarm went off at 7am? Confound it!

I got out of the shower early this afternoon, only to find out my wife had started the laundry, and there were no towels in the bathroom. A good shower spoiled.

Spoiled by expectation, make the most of the towel shortage somehow. I do the laundry so that never happens to me, lol.

@silvermouse, I usually do the laundry, or at least start it, but I got into something else late morning, so she started it. I almost turned the shower back on to re-warm myself while waiting for a towel!
