A couple of starlings and a male red-wing blackbird showed up at our bird feeder a couple of days ago, early for this time of year.

Got home from shopping, filled two shopping carts at Smart & final, unloaded the car, and then I had to break down and vacuum seal all the meats that we bought. Now I'm feeling hangry.
Lowe's, Marshalls, in and out, Goodwill, Walgreens, Smart & final, an all day expedition.

I've had some minor plantar fasciitis off and on recently. Bought some slides with an arch support to wear around the house. Unbelievable difference. Don't go barefoot if your feet bother you.

You may abbreviate the pronunciation as Skook, but's that's a relatively recent term. More historically correct is Coal Country, and the residents may be referred to as Coal Crackers. The common pronunciation is simply Skoo-kill. Don't ever say Sheye-ul-kill, even the one-toothed Coal Crackers will seem intelligent in comparison to you.

Up at 4:30. Quick breakfast of one egg and fried grits. Up the hill to my studio for lots of coffee, a book and a robusto. Painted till 9:30 and hit the woods for a hour walk. Loaded up the truck with trash and recycling and headed for the dumpster site. On the way back stopped at the library to pick up a new James Lee Burke book that they saved for me. Stopped at a church thrift store and scored a painting for 2$ that I will overpaint with one of my own. Lunch and started to stack firewood. Planed evening meal of green chili stew, brown rice and coleslaw. Back to the firewood. Going to button everything up outside cause we are expecting 8 inches of the white stuff on Sunday. Tonight got to work on our garden seed order. Don't watch the TV much and don't pay attention to my flip phone. Got too much to do without distractions.

Starting to work on taxes even though the IRS has put a hold on filing until they decide whether to tax rebate from the state as income due to them collecting excess revenue beyond the tax cap.
