I’m thinking about driving to Phoenix to see the Blackhawks play tomorrow night.

Up to my studio at 4:30 after grits and a egg. Laid out a canvas from a sketch and painted the border light green. Grabbed my walking stick and hit the hills for an hour and a half. Back home and constructed a pot of red beans that have been soaking over night. Hard freeze coming so I needed to punch out the flue. Assembled the brush and fiberglass rods and did the deed. The beans need to cook at least four hours low and slow. Put on a big pot of brown rice to go with the beans. Started and ran the weed eater dry for the winter. Cleaned the stove pipe and carried the creosote out to the burn pile. Still got to put plastic over the fabric tunnels in the garden. Seems like the older I get there stuff I need to do.

I recently purchased a 2x6 piece of red oak by 8' long. Today, me and my table saw and dado blades turned it into these eight pieces.

Visiting my daughter and three grandchildren today, while making dinner my daughter heated up some shrimp on the stove, and I spent too much time in the kitchen, causing my shellfish allergy to kick in. I had to spend about an hour outside, while waiting for my wife to help get the kids ready for bed before we could leave, otherwise a trip to the ER was imminent. Fortunately, I avoided that scenario. Stupid allergy.

I mostly spent the time on the front porch focusing on my breathing, and making sure I wasn't past the point of no return without medical intervention. If I catch the early onset of symptoms and extricate myself in time, it takes an hour or two to recover. However, it can be like a runaway train, meaning sometimes the symptoms continue to get worse even after removing myself from the area, which happened a few years ago and I ended up in the ER with shots of adrenaline and Benadryl, and a bill for $700.

I also inform servers of the issue, and make sure the kitchen is informed and careful about cross-contamination. But stupid things happen, so I really should get another epi pen.

Guesstimating here. Before Obama care 50.00 per pen, after 300.00. I know I’m close to actual figures. Truly is a shame and **** up.

While Obama-care may have intensified the effect somehow, I believe the root cause was that little assholle that bought the patent rights on a medicine that was already generic, then raised the price outrageously. I can't remember his name, but it was a pretty big deal for awhile, then everyone forgot about it and focused on some new outrage that the media found useful for fomenting goo-gobs of emotion that could be refocused to produce some other results beneficial to the elite.

Anyway, realistically they could charge $15 for an epi-pen and make honest money. But they won't, because the American Voter is too highly focused on BS that doesn't benefit that voter at all, and no one is paying attention to that man behind the curtain.
