Well that sucks. You might have to sell off some shopping carts to make ends meet.

Is anyone else experiencing a glitch in the matrix tonight? I could not log in for about 2 hours tonight, getting a message that the page could not be reached. Finally got in, and can't upload a photo.

On my AM walk saw a small flock of Robins. Looked to be about 10. Those Robins area month early. The Times are a changin.

We had an accumulation of robins a few weeks ago. I read somewhere that we have two seasonal migrations, one is robins heading back to Canada and then summer robins. The summer ones haven't arrived yet.

There is also a type of thrush that has adapted to look very similar to robins, for reasons that escape me, and some people are looking at the thrush through their untrained eyes. I don't remember where I read this...

We get both Robins and Orioles here which can also be easily confused.

Two motion detector outdoor floods at my studio went out. I checked them out and figured they needed to be replaced. Picked up two new ones. Up an eight ft stepladder and pulled the first old one down. Scraped the old caulking and wired the new one in. Didn't work. Up the ladder and pulled it. Checked everything and remounted it. Didn't work again so I pulled it and checked everything again. Remounted it and still didn't work so I pulled it, threw it across the yard and opened the second box and mounted the second one. It worked. Cheap azz China ****.

Waiting on @VegasFrank โ€™s take on the Chinese issue

Carnuba wax works great for a finish on vulcanite and smooth briar. Charge a harder buff wheel, the friction will melt it. Polish with a light touch.

"It is the finish of choice for most briar tobacco smoking pipes, as it produces a high gloss when buffed that dulls with time, rather than flaking off like most other finishes."
