i didn't know you smoked a pipe. ^Every great once in a while... it's the tobacco of the month and 20% off, so when Rusty said it was good stuff it pushed me over the edge. Truth be told, I'll buy most anything if it's on sale; @Stubble taught me I'd be losing money if I didn't.

Just finished up a sampler pack for my buddy and his dad and look what shows up. Damnit Jeff, I had just emptied some jars to make room and look what you did! Really man, thank you. The Let Freedom Ring gift set, a new tin of this year's Sun Bear, and several samples of some mouth watering delights. My eyeballs went to that twist immediately. Badass, Jeff. Badass Jeff. A big thank you to @Hawks . Christmas and festive blends have a special place in my heart. I can't wait to break into the Corn Cob Pipe, one of my all time favorites that I had run out of last year. They always bring me back to my childhood when my pops would sit reading a book smoking his pipe around Christmas. Thanks again Chris!6 -
Oh yeah 👍

Saw that Levant and thought "Huh, haven't had that for a while." Which is because I smoked it all. Went with some C&D Evergreen instead.

Question regarding the Viking pipe I bought the other day, compared to my Missouri Meechum pipes, I noticed it’s considerably lighter, is that common with briars?

I believe so.

Some are fairly heavy, some much lighter. The lighter ones are more desirable, and smoke better as well, which seems counter-intuitive to me but has held true in my experience.

@Amos_Umwhat it smokes perfectly, i get so much more out of my tobacco, and the way the stem is made it blocks incoming debris without using filters, only thing i don’t enjoy about that portion is the moisture build up tends to affect the pull sometimes. I didnt know what to expect out of a pipe i paid $35 for, but, its a massive improvement compared to my meechums, i almost dont want to put it down lol

Yeah, you might benefit from funneling or chamfering that tenon, check these posts out:

^^Excellent information^^ @Yakster , enjoyed those greatly.
A couple thoughts I had before seeing those were answered.
I'd wondered about what they call the pipe cleaner test, because that's something I've noticed. Pipes that won't pass a pipe cleaner from the mouthpiece straight on in to the bowl seem to gurgle more easily, this confirmed my suspicions about that.
I'd considered trying something like this remedy on one or two of my pipes, but had been afraid to proceed with the attempt. I mention this in order to get to this point; note that all use of drill bits were "hand twirled".
Using your Dewalt can be hazardous to your pipe.
Guess how I know?
