Hate those times, I feel for you. My calico cat is 20 yrs old this month, I know it's coming, but I keep thinking "well, she still seems to enjoy..." whatever it is. Even worse with dogs, I think. But that day comes when you think you can't just let them keep suffering. My deepest sympathy.
