Got my heart rate 100bpm over my normal resting heart rate. Feels good to get my strength and stamina back.

Doctor suggested surgery. Fuse S1/L5. Replace discs at L5/4/3. Told me no more working out and no more Jiu Jitsu. I politely told him 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼 Been doing body weight exercises for past 6 weeks. Back has slowly improved and getting stronger. This past MTW I introduced some very light weights. NO PAIN! 🤙🏼🤙🏼. Hopefully, I can start BJJ again and keep increasing my weight lifting. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

There’s always “help”

Great news Jeff, some of those docs think they know a little more than they do. I suppose they have to play it safe

Fitness feels easy at 25,
It feels optional at 35.
Urgent at 55.
Impossible at 70.
The price never goes down...
Why wait?7 -

Cutting and splitting wood, lawn care, gardening, and long walks. I'll be 78 years old in a few months. Back to working part time banging on metal. House work is work too. My Garmin tracker says I am physically 61 years old. I don't believe it, I had a lot more stamina when I was.

Past two weeks no pain meds. Finished PT. Still working out, mostly body weight. I’m thinking I might reintroduce myself to Jiu Jitsu Monday. Of course, I will go slow and max out at 20% effort. Let’s see what happens 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Apologies... I'm filling in for @Vision while he's away.
