Smoked my first Diesel Unlimited last night with a fire and a glass of Ardbeg! Fantastic cigar and scotch! Had hell getting the fire going because of this crappy ass wood I have, but it was enough to keep us from freezing in the 26 degree weather out there!

Well my cigars tonight were disappointing to say the least. I first started out with a Gurkha Turk that had been in the humidor since 2008. My humi stays around 68 degrees and anywhere from 65 - 68% RH.
Well the Turk started out fine and then half way it's draw started tightening and the last 3/4 became unsmokable I could barely pull. I have smoked many from the same batch without problems.

Next up was a Padilla Signature 1932 (my first) it has been in the humi in cello for about 3 months. I prelight draw was loose and I lit it and the first puff it burned 1/4 inch and then tunnelled. 1/2 way the stick became acrid and hot.
I guess today was just bad luck picking up 2 sticks out of the humi with opposite problems.
    Well there is always tomorrow.

Had a NUB Cameroon 460 last night and a NUB Connecticut this morning.
The Cameroon is one of my favorites, tons of sweetness and pepper. And the Connie is the first one I've had that didn't taste like wet grass.

Nothing, again. It's still too damn cold to smoke outside. I've got to find a way to make the balcony bearable in twenty degrees minus breeze.

Little minis that come in tins of 5 or 10 (usually 4x38 or so) are great this time of year.

I need to remember those. I've got a few cigarillos around somewhere, and, while better than nothing, they just don't make quite the same dent as a good torpedo.

It was a very good day and night, I started off the afternoon with an Alec Bradley MAXX The Fix then this evening had a Patel Bros. Super Toro and finished off the night with a Kristoff Maduro Robusto.

I had a RP Vintage 1999 yesterday after lunch. It wasn't a bad smoke. I didn't really pick up a whole lot of flavors though. Mostly hints of nutty with a little creamy after taste once in a while.

Noticed the humidity in one of my humidors dipped. So I had to burn a test stick.
the Gurkha Symphony cracked a little but that was an easy repair.
