    Another excellent guess, but...still incorrect.

Clue 4: The woman the protagonist desires is not only married but he also kills her best friend.

Let's open this up a bit:

Clue 5: This is not an obscure movie. In fact, this very well known story has been a movie many, many times, originally appearing in print as a book. People just don't think of it as a love story but at its core that's what it really is.

Ok, well shot in the dark here, but.... The Odyssey originally by Homer (Not Simpson's Homer lol)

Winner!!! Nice job, Rob. I was just getting ready to post a clue before I left for work in the hopes someone would win today. My next clue would have been that the main character was killed by a texan with a bowie knife.

This story is one of my favorites and it's a very good book, too. I think I have your address already but maybe you should give me a pm just in case.

SWEEET! Nice clues for sure... If I were paying attention earlier, I probably would have guessed after the wooden boat reference...

I'll PM my info and get a new movie up today

Clue #1: The main character's brother-in-law has a plate in his head, apparently from his time in the military

Shot in the dark since I'm at work and can't research, but Slingblade? Don't even know if that happens in that movie, but guess regardless.

Gunna toss one out there but National Lampoon's Vacation (Christmas)? Just recall the brother-in-law Eddy. The part where he had to get the plate replaced in his head. Every time the misses revved up the microwave he'd piss his pants and forget who he was for 30 minutes. Lol!

Well the plate runs right underneath my part here... over here, ya know it's nothin, but right here, if this gets dented, my hair just ain't gonna look right...

WINNER! man, I thought this was gonna be a little tougher... but very well done...

PM me your info, I know i have it, but I'm lazy and if don't have a PM to remind me to sent this out, it may get overlooked...

Time to get this rolling again now that the holiday madness has come and gone. This Science fiction movie was filmed in the 80's and had a cast of 15 characters.
