Re: opus x maduro?
phobicsquirrel: rwheelwright:I would love to get my hands on some of these. I would probably pay more than $20. Just to try them... you could always get one of them charity boxes, and you'll have some extras. I actually thought about getting one each year but I buy too many other cigars! Plus the $200 price increase isn't… -
Re: What do some of your most favorite cigars taste like?
for me its usually one of three profiles, depending on my mood 1. Lots of leather, a bit of spice and sweetness an a medium finish - Something like a aged Diesel UHC 2. Creamy, nutty, oaky, and musty with a looooooooong finish - I get some of those from an avo domaine or a camacho diploma after theve rested for a while. 3.… -
Re: RP Vintage '92
I was worried after by disaster with an OWR toro which have been in my humi for the same mount of time as some '92 toro's, but I smoked on Saturday night. I don't know what it was, close to 2 months in the humi or the fact I was i a hot tub, but it was awesome. As usual with the Vintage ('90 and '92 anyway) very smooth and… -
Re: Cyber Monday Disappointment
Krieg:Anyone else disappointed w/ the Cyber Monday "deals"? I was really hoping for some really decent sticks being on sale this year instead of what it seems like a clearance sale. Few decent sticks, but by the most part nothing I'd consider buying. +1 They've had better "Daily Deals" - (ie 10 Undercrown Toros for 39.95)… -
Re: Tubos
CAcigarguy007: catfishbluezz:My experience has been tubos-mold. I keep all my humi's at 63-65, even the ISOM. Only time I've ever seen mold was in a tubo or paper wrapped cigars. I pull all cedar sleeves, paper, and tubos now...never had a mold problem. I always double check for it when I buy a tubo or sleeved cigar at… -
Re: new gel, high humidity
yeah, in November I did and it reads 1% lower than actual ie 68% instead of 69% but ive heard a few people say you need to check every 3-4 months with the one i have so ill test it again soo and see if it has changed. i just opened the coolidor (for the first time since last night) and checked, its reading right at 70%… -
Re: Weekend Blitz
kuzi16: cabinetmaker:Every DE stick I've tried with the exception of the Natural line, I've flat out hated. I have not tried the coffee infused ones, but the Acid line is just gross to me. clearly you have yet to have the Liga Pravada no.9, the Liga Pravada T5, or La Vieja Habana these are QUALITY cigars. ...all by drew… -
Re: Humidification options
ejgorman: Lee.mcglynn:IMO get a cooler!! It's cheap and holds a ton!! In retrospect, I probably should've jumped on here for advice before buying a humidor. Never imagined I'd be able to fill a 100 count humi tbh. Nor did I realize just how easy it would be to buy more cigars than I can possibly smoke in a year.… -
Re: Calling out to the WOMEN Cigar smokers
PsychoSJG:Oddly there have been like 5 women in the past couple weeks who have joined and posted (only odd that it was all around the same time). While this forum is mostly guys, I want to welcome all the new women, and hope you stick around and join the madness. +1 Welcome to the forum. Maybe Kelley can reach out to you… -
Re: how big of a threat is mold?
Duder2:The one thing I would add to all the good advice given so far is that if you plan on using a foam humidifier puck, save yourself some trouble and throw it directly into the trash and get some beads, gel jar, bovida packs, or drymistat tubes. Beads would be my preference. The pucks almost always mold eventually. +1,…
