Re: Irish Whiskey
If you're looking to spend some money, give Middleton's a try.For daily drams, I usually drink Tulley, Jameson or Paddy's (nice and light for the summer). the Powers gold label is pretty decent too.For special occasions it's usually Red ***...but I did try Jameson Black Barrel last weekend and really liked it. Not sure… -
Re: A new vice....scotch talk
Definately agree with this statement that some scotches dont go well with cigars and some cigars dont go with well with Scotch. So heres what I have to say. v Connie wrappers are mostly going to get wiped out by most scotches. That being said some of the sweeter scotches - Edrador, vanilla and almond - actually pairs… -
Re: Help me do a contest! - Here is the contest - UPDATED
Had a great time. Popped my opus x cherry thanks to AJ. The drinks were good. Had the entire line of knob creek including their smoked maple (which paired rather well with the opus). I had 2 cigars, AJ had 2 cigars, and aJ's wife smoked 1. That was a total of 5, so Morgan, you are the wiener. I'll post some pictures from… -
Re: Post Smoke Routine
I have a smoking ensemble...a pair of warm ups made out of that silky looking material--doesn't hold the odor like cotton and a hoodie...usually I wear a silk beanie under the hoodie to keep the odor out of my hair. These are all removed when I come back into the house. Then most times a shower and brush my teeth..followed… -
Re: Miller Lite
Anything with the word "lite" in it ought not to be sold as beer... no not even if you spell it smart. In Jolly Olde England there was a government functionary with the enviable job of brew inspector. His assignment was to search out and punish what they called small beer. His equipment consisted of a three legged stool, a… -
Lord Ripon, thank you
I am humbled buy your generosity. I can't thank you enough for these wonderful selections of fine tea. I shall brew a cup tomorrow and post my thoughts. This will be the first time brewing tea without using a "tea bag". I'm also looking forward to pairing the black tea with some ISOM and NC and seeing what happens. This is… -

Hey every one. I have a buddy I'm going to visit in my home town if topeka this weekend. He wants to try his first cigar. I know it should be something mild like an AVO or maybe a AF Hemingway. He is going to be picking up a single malt ( something from glenmorangie) any recommendations on a good first cigar for me to pick… -
Re: Fuente King T
thehoff: docbp87: thehoff:Edit: Beverage was Seagrams Gin and Tonic. Ewwwww. With a cigar? Noooooo thank you. True, it is a sub-par gin, but my other options were bud, jim, and applepucker among some more random things that I wouldn't care drinking. It's all good. It was a relief to come home to my tanqueray and Kraken. No… -
Re: Greetings
poypoyking:I live in the Minneapolis area. Couple other things about me: My favorite time to smoke a cigar is while playing golf (disc or regular). The strangest thing to drink while smoking is a Dr Pepper (worth a try if you haven't before). I spend way too much time on the computer, whether browsing or gaming. Prefer… -
Re: Vherf
Ok fellas I'm gonna start with 1 of my beginner stogies. Move on to something more tasty and if the bourbon and the nicotine hasn't crushed me I'll dig in my stash of 5 good ones. Hope to meet you on... Yes I know ya'll have better than me but I'm taking notes and I WILL catch up eventually. Till then the company is as…
