Enjoyed my first My Father Le Bijou this afternoon with a bit of Aberlour A'Binadh single malt, my favorite. This was a very smooth smoke although I had a hard time distinguishing all the reported flavors. Very little nic hit, which I like. I took the precaution of having a snack before smoking. Looking forward to letting the other four mates rest in the humi for a couple of months before I try again.Life is good, don't waste it.1

Good cigar, thanks bro!
Warped yellow band.
I see these getting a lot of hype but this one didn't do much for me.
Ramon Allones from my 5k pass.
Sublime.
Ave Maria, old faithful.
AJ FTW.

Fuente Double Chateau Maduro. 6.7x50 of scrumptiousness laid upon this old, grey head by your friend and mine, one Mr. Jim (Big Shizza) Scott. You're a gentleman and a scholar, Jim, and a conneisseur of fine horses, women, and whiskey.
And if you believe all that I'll tell ya more....1 -

My B & M just started carrying them! I always buy 2 right off the bat, to make sure I like them before getting more!0

I have 3 within walking distance, 2 of them with lounges and nice selections! Very lucky!1

Team O'Donnell FTW!

jlmarta said:I use a piece of the smallest diameter coat hanger wire I could find. In addition, the secret (IMO) to making it work properly is to cut, file, or grind the end of the poker to a blunt, square-cut end rather than a pointed end.
Old-time carpenters and woodworkers know about this method. The square-cut end produces a cutting edge that will cut its way through the material whereas a pointed end acts as a wedge and forces material away from it just as a wedge is used in splitting firewood.
This is why you'll sometimes see an old time carpenter stand a nail upside down and tap the pointed end with his hammer to blunt the nail. He uses this trick to avoid splitting any fine wood that's otherwise prone to being split by the nail.
It seems counterintuitive, but it works.....0 -
