I just have to say, all you guys do a fantastic job of keeping the top of your pipe clean. All mine look like some fool's been smoking out of them.

C&D 2022 Small Batch Folklore in my BriarWorks Bullmose. This tobacco smells like juicy fruit gum and reminds me of Gawith and Hoggarth Bosun Plug due to the exotic Kasturi leaf which gives it it's clove note. This note is much more subtle in the bowl once lit, but it's still good.

I put some of the G&H Balkan Mixture in the new Peterson Spigot Fishtail this morning. Good stuff in a great pipe. The pipe is so light! I've been wanting a 2nd pipe for my travel pouch, already had a Stanwell Army Mount that I like carrying.
I chose that Stanwell and this new Peterson for the mount. I think the spigot will be similar as far as cleaning not long after smoking, so that I'm not putting an uncleaned pipe back into the pouch. I tend to take the pouch along on motorcycle rides, burning a bowl when I stop somewhere. Also, RV trips. Having 2 pipes along gives one a chance to rest.

@Rdp77 , I'm not sure, but I think this is an example of "flame grain", where the striations of the grain pattern rise upwards, like flames.
