When I was bagging up the Margate I sent to Rusty the other day, I loaded up a pipeful. Jarred in October of '20, it was still really moist. Eventually I got it to smoking pretty good, but I felt I would have had a better experience if I'd set it out to dry first.
That got me to thinking, I've got some Squadron Leader that's verging on being too dry. So, I mixed some of the two together,50-50, gave it a day and tried it. Not bad, but a little sharp on the tongue. So, I took some of my remaining McClelland Latakia and added about 10% or so, maybe a little less, to the mixture.
I smoked that mixture this morning in my Stanwell Royal Danish #118. Very nice.

Nice!!
Neat pipe!
Is the lightning burned on or inked? Be fun to watch it color. I have always found unsealed briar to smoke drier. Also it will color from finger oils and sweat unless you are fastidious.

Got a new smokin buddy
It's burned on, or rather produced by electric current burning between probes, and it does seem to smoke pretty well so far.
