Smoking Sutliff's Match Carter Hall in that same cob with some fresh tepid coffee. Done with the low smoke phase of cooking the Thanksgiving turkey, wrapped the wings and tips of the legs in foil and now we're cooking with gas (pellets).
This is a match for an Old Codger's OTC blend, Not much sweet, but I'm enjoying it. It tastes like tobacco. I picked up a bunch of Sutliff Match blend samples on a sale a bit ago and I'm enjoying going through them. I've got a whole canvas tote with 12 different Mylar samples out here on the patio while I cook the turkey.

Smoking 2008 Samuel Gawith Rum Flake in my Norm Triptow small but surprisingly wide Liver-Lovat briar pipe paired with Goslings Black Seal 151 rum on a nice day after a good breakfast while waiting for my rye bread dough to rise.

This Rum Flake + rum + lack of sleep is really mellowing me out.
It'll be time for the next step in making a rye bread loaf soon, if I can get motivated enough to work on it. No choice, really. The Wife dug some Elk meat from a friend out of the freezer and is making a stew with it in the crock pot today.

McCranie’s Stirling Bridge from @NorCalR1 in the Norm, still working on the same pour of Rum. Rye bread is done, turned out good, and the women are drinking turmeric lattes (not much to recommend them, taste like warm milk with turmeric in them).

Ken Byron Burley Morning Pipe in my Chacom Club. Very mild tobacco, but smooth and tasty, paired with a mild, smooth Honduras Lempira coffee. The coffee has improved with rest.

2016 Holiday Spirit in a Monier with some coffee while I enjoy the great weather.
Just finished up a Costco trip full of doomsday prepper’s stock up on toilet paper.. 😂
I'm going to start smoking pipes more now I've started a big project on the truck this winter. It's nice to set them down, do some work and come back and light back up while I'm trying to figure out some problem without the bad taste cigars will give you doing the same thing.
As a kid I would watch my father do that all the time while working on cars. He told me it gave him patience and time to think....Never made sense to me at the time...It does now.
A pict of his old Falcon I have (The only priceless pipe I own)...
That's great, Julian, I wish I had some of my dad's old pipes from before he quit smoking.
This morning, I'm trying the KBV Samsun & Delilah blend in my Norm half-saddle billiard; a sweet, tasty blend, paired with coffee after a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs, grits, biscuits, and coffee.

H&H Classic Burley Kate in a Comoy's Working around the shop, makes a nice change....
Nice combination, Burley Kake gives me hints of cherry, like it. And also like Comoy pipes, their shapes are so classic.
