I miss the "psychedelic dungeon" concerts, everyone sitting around on a cement floor in an old warehouse (The Boston Tea Party) on Lansdown St. in Boston, crowded--maybe 200 people. Tickets were an outrageous $5 to $7.

“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)

I think that Christ negated everything in Lavitics, including the ban on shellfish and eye-for-eye:

"Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."  Matthew (5:38-42)

Of course, if you're looking for the safety and security provided by eye-for-an-eye and other similar constricts, here's a short list of countries that still practice such things:

    Afghanistan
    Pakistan
    Egypt
    Syria
    Lebanon
    Somalia
    Sudan
    Yemen
    Lybia
    Iran
    Iraq
    Tunisia

Don't forget to send us your nachos, I don't think you can get backwoods or 5 Vegas Gold's there...

The countries you mentioned do not have an eye for an law. Not even close.
    They have honor killings.
They will gut you because you change into a goat and do evil things.
They will butcher you because someone accused you of being the devil or just crazy.

The eye for an eye law meant that if a tribunal (that is like a court) found you guilty of, say, murder beyond any reasonable doubt, a family member could visit the same method of death on you.
