My attempt at a graham cracker house during our annual contest this year. I won "most historically accurate." My sister, the judge, thought it looked like some sort of old viking lodge.
This one was by the little guy. He won "most rustic."

Technically, I didn't make it. I enhanced it. Got so focused on this that I never got around to that 601. I did learn to backstitch, though.😆Then I learned I suck at it! 😂
Magnetized and fully waxed. Do what you will with that info. 😉

First sourdough. Not a lot of gluten or oven spring - brand new starter. A little dense but nice color. Going to cheat and have a slice with dinner tonight.

There was a really interesting study done on the northern lights producing sound. It’s not necessarily related to what you are trying to do, but the science behind the why, might help.

Next issue to grapple with is how to paint SOUND.
Sound travels in waves, can be colors of the spectrum.
I sure have enough to drive my self crazy.
Similar to how the Doppler Effect goes for both stacking soundwaves and red/blue phase shift for light?

Constant sound would be even and sound that varies would be uneven. Doing some divergent sketches and trying to figure out bird song and whale song. Colors will come once I reach the convergent stage. Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks.
A couple more I'm working on. Red and Green mask series 16" by 20". A Volcano series maybe 3/4 finished, working on the balance, contrast, and intensity.
I think I'm going to make these four paintings one painting. got to get a sheet of 1/4" luan and rip some 3/4" for the frame. The one on the top right may need more contrast.
I wonder how it would look with the four pictures laid out horizontally, from black background with blue and red face, blue background, green background, then black background with red and black face.
It almost looks like a progression of emotion.

4 sides of a cube? Just spitballin'.
Doesn't a cube have six sides?
Yes, but I'd just leave the top and bottom blank, thereby putting the 4 pictures on 4 sides of the cube.

Looks great, Frank. Hard to moderate carbs when the aroma of warm fresh bread beckons.
Dialing this emmmefffer in....
You know you're old when you double-post stuff in the wrong thread. ;-)
I'm actually sayn' I wrote that joke, meme or whatever you call it. The rest of my meme haul today was typically stolen, but this one is not.
In that case, I'm glad I commented, even though my assumption turned out to be incorrect.
Thanks for the awesome memes today, Mike-bob, you made my day.
What I've been at lately. Volcano idea may be finished maybe not. 30"by 40"
I framed this one last week. Still have to get the frame to fit better. 30"by30"
Four 16"by 20" that are the same but they are different. Learning about color or non color.

Nobody sees the other two sides anyway.

I was going to do a thing but then I realized it was just too disgusting even for me 😉
