The surgery went well. But it is cancer and we have to wait on the biopsy results to know what kind it was. And because they can't do an MRI they don't know if there's smaller tumors that the CT scan couldn't pick up. She was basically paralyzed on her right side by the time they got around to operating. And now the surgeon says she might not get it back. Im so freaking POed! She walked in on her own, she was still walking the next day when I got there, even the day after that. But everyday she told everyone that walked in that it was getting worse and they did nothing because it wasn't life threatening. All because they wanted their long Christmas break. I'm thinking of calling a lawyer. I don't see anyway out of having to quit my job and go on welfare unless my insurance will pay for home care so I can go back to the boat.
See, this is why I don't like these prayer threads. They just make you feel sad and helpless.
“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)
Not sticking up for the surgeon but I know many doctors that have retired early because they can't treat their patients due to Obamacare! Continued prayers.
Congrats to my buddy rick on his daughters wedding. Ive enjoyed many cigars with this guy and look forward to many more in the new year. Keep rick and his family in your prayers as his wife faces more cancer treatments. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know brother. And I know part of the reason they had to wait was because of the blood thinners in her system. And the guy is the best neurosurgeon in our area and we were lucky to get him. It just riles me up that they wouldn't do anything till after Christmas because it wasn't life threatening.

Thanks Phillip. Glad you and Michelle were able to come. And tell Christian that we are in his debt for making sure Carla got to watch it. I can't thank him enough.
Guess they will start radiation tomorrow. Don't know how many treatments she'll need. Then she'll be either starting chemo again or intense rehab. I've got to have a colonoscopy tomorrow morning. Really looking forward to that. Even Carla thinks that's funny.
She just finished up her first 5 days of radiation treatment and Physical therapy. Been a long week. She has been able to move her arm a little she looks like she's trying to lift a thousand pounds but she did it. Still can't move her leg any, maybe next week.
Ok well I think I could use a little prayer having a lot of stress these days Mom is still about the same but is forgetting things somethings but now we have another problem and I am stress over it big time I can't go into detail about but I need pray to stop stressing about thank you all in advance

Talk to the lawyer, not to be spiteful, but to see what can be done. If they were negligent, that needs to be corrected, IMHO.
