If you guys could keep my brother and his wife in your prayers, that would be awesome. As some know, my brother and his wife are Missionaries in Brazil. They are currently in language school and will move to their permanent location at the end of this year. Well, we just found out that a friend of their's from seminary (he was also in my bro's wedding) had a brain aneurysm yesterday, was placed in the ICU and then passed away just a few hours ago. He was in his early forties and was a Methodist pastor. The last time my brother was in Brazil, our grandfather passed away. I know it is very hard on him and his wife because they want to be here for Brent's wife. They understand the life of a missionary but that doesn't make the loss any less painful. Thabks for your thoughts and prayers.

Well they are kicking Carla out of acute rehab because she can't do all the therapy. She's not eating or drinking and so weak she can barely stay awake. I'm hoping taking her home will bring her out of it. I fear she's lost the will to go on anymore. If something doesn't change soon I'll have to put her in a hospital. She's not eaten a bite in 2 days and barely enough to keep her going the last week. And she's barely drinking any water. But I can't blame her. No way I'd have put myself through it all.
Got her to her moms today. Our daughter came up to see her finally. That cheered her up. Still didn't eat but I did get her to drink some carnation instant breakfasts and some water. I also told my daughter she needs to put school on the back. Hebert and make plans to come up a relieve me for a month every other month so I can go back to work. Her response was can't you just find another job. She doesn't get that at 52 with a spouse who has spent most of the last 2 years in a hospital of some form I don't stand much chance of getting a job that is going to be much help. I am going to check into some of the local tug companies. Who knows I may get lucky. But it's still a big cut in pay. But if I can sell all our stuff and the house and get carlas mom to sell us hers for the state minimum we should be good.
Hope you guys continue prayers for Rick and his family. His wife Carla has been through a lot and I think the fight will soon be over so continue your prayers to get Rick through this tough time..thanks to you all for your prayers
