Too busy watching his career flash before his eyes
Geez, if he gets fired for losing 4 in a row to Michigan, how can James Franklin hang on at PSU, losing 10 straight to OSU?
Different standard

Frank is right. It’s a different standard. Ohio State has a list of goals posted at the facility. Number one is not a Big10 championship. It’s not a winning season or national championship. It is beating Michigan. They have a clock that on the very minute to game was over…it was restarted with a countdown to the next game. It’s just different.
Yeah, I guess PSU just doesn't have the same type of history and rivalry as those teams, being independent for so long and only becoming part of the Big 10 in the 90s. Maybe the closest thing for Penn State was with Pitt(sburgh), but they don't even play each other any longer.

The question still remains, how can James Franklin hang on at PSU? They must tolerate mediocrity, kinda like WI.
There is a lot larger margin for what is and is not mediocrity in college football than in the NFL. For a lot of schools a winning season and mid-level bowl game constitutes a good season. That he’s done. He also went into a program that was rocked by the whole Sandusky/Paterno situation and brought pride back to a school that had lost it. There is a lot to be said for what has been done off the field.

The toleration of mediocrity seems only to exist with the Athletic Department at PSU, likely due to the reason Rusty suggests, the Sandusky/Paterno scandal, of which the AD has much to atone for, since they covered it up at every opportunity. However, the tolerance for mediocrity does not extend to the fans or the student body, who do not accept that a "winning season" and a mid-level bowl game constitute a good season. True fans (of which I am not, but know many) and the student body would be thrilled to see Lame Game James depart with boot print on his backside, and another loss to OSU next year, I think, could see that outcome.

It's not like they've been mediocre either. They always go to New Year's Day bowl games which brings in a ton of money for the school. He's a good dude and a decent recruiter and a pretty good role model. He wins 10 games a year and gets a lot of national TV time for the program.
Not everybody can be Ohio State. In fact, very few can: Xichigan, Notre Dame (edit: no, nevermind on this one), USC, Texas, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Clemson. That's about the list.
A few others bubble up with a good recruiting class, then subside when their 5 starts get drafted.

Charts and graphs like this are part of the reason people stay at odds all the time. They end up arguing different points. Is this graph referring to private healthcare administration or government run programs? It doesn’t say, and I imagine it doesn’t on purpose simply for that very point.
Oh, and on a side note, the USDA does not approve the sale of unpasteurized milk to individuals. Pasteurization kills the viruses that may be in milk. So let’s force testing on all the milk that is not pasteurized so we can cause a panic.

NEW YORK (PIX11) – E-bike riders may have to register for license plates under a proposal under consideration by the City Council.
Councilmembers on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure will discuss Intro 606, also known as Priscilla’s Law, during a hearing on Wednesday. It seeks to require all e-bike riders to register their vehicle with the Department of Transportation and have a license plate with an identification number fixed to the vehicle.
The speed the e-bike can run, I'm not sure there shouldn't be some training/licensing requirements like a motorcycle. Most drivers aren't expecting a bike to be clipping along at 35 mph.

The government is already run by billionaires. They just have the millionaire politicians do their bidding for them.
