Went to work today. The one day of the year that traffic is great.
Not here on the Cape, Google maps shows 2/3 of the roads this afternoon in red or orange. Our shop was mobbed.

I just drove behind and beside a Shelby Cobra 427 for a couple miles. What a beautiful piece of machinery.

Also reminds me that we have/had a Shelby museum here for a long time but I haven't heard anything about it for a while. I should see if it's still open.

Don't need a cigar this morning... I can't see the end of my driveway through the wildfire smoke.  Burning forest isn't nearly as aromatic as a good cigar.
I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...

I prepped the day before, lots of wire brushing and scraping, and my wonderful spouse helped with the lower easy to reach areas.
Friends don't let good friends smoke cheap cigars.

harvested the last of the sugar snap peas while being watched by one of the yard bunnies. I thought about leaving the vines for it but decided I didn't want to encourage it to break into the rest of the garden.

My version of harvesting sugar snap peas would just be going outside when I was hungry but it wasn't dinner time yet. I love snacking on those.

Mowing the lawns. First time or two of the season it is kinda fun; after that it is a steady downward spiral. Beats going to the gym though (in my opinion).

Sous vide some steak for the first time, pan searing at the end with roasted sweet potato coins and salad. Celebrated the meal with a cigar on the vHerf, then roasted some Kenya coffee so I'll have something to brew in the morning.

Any dump is better than no dump, and you can take that to the bank.

My Pops recently spend 5 days in the hospital with some lower GI blockage, they had gone to an 'authentic' chinese joint and he had some mushroon soup, apparently some of the mushrooms may have been freeze dried and not quite re-hydrated. A friend that went with them had the same and left a pile of logs near her bowl. Pops ate them hence the logjam.

That's where that gif came from. I had no idea. I thought that was the weird dude from The Hangover, along with most of the younger users of the internet.
