Had my second shot yesterday morning. Last night was rough, chills. Arm sore as hell and headache
27 hours after the shot Arm not as sore and feeling close to normal.
I was afraid it would ruin the long weekend

Because of what I do I am eligible for the vaccine now, (not that it’s available in my state) I officially signed off allowing my two doses (whenever available) to go to someone who needs it more than me but is not a field worker.

Now, see, that’s weird. Before getting any shot I asked my doc about it. He said he’d recently taken his second shot of the Pfizer vaccine. His first was uneventful. His second, however, was similar to yours - headaches, body aches, insomnia, chills and fever, diarrhea to name a few. He strongly advised I take the Moderna vaccine.

I got Pfizer. First shot produced a slightly sore arm, some weakness, a little light-headedness. I got my second shot at about 11:am yesterday. Not even a sore arm this time. Must be clean living.... 🤣🤣

Working with Military members I qualified to get the vaccine with them. I am much older qt almost 62 than everyone in uniform. The goal is to get everyone in the Command vaccinated 100% and screen visitors like they have been so that the mission can still be accomplished. Some sections take up the entire floor of the building and a sea of cubicles. Keeping 6 feet apart with a mask has worked pretty well, But, they already ran two shifts and cutting the work force to 60% has effected the mission. Everyone vaccinated they say can put everyone back to work on site instead of home. I can do 85% of my work from home, guys and gals working with Highly Classified material can not.

I had been on the wire about getting the vaccine. When offered I had about a 5 minute window to decide.
Hopefully everyone has the opportunity soon

Me and my other had our second shots of Moderna last Wed. Sore arms for both of us but the soreness was gone in a few days. We have friends in Asheville who drove to South Carolina to get their first shot. The Asheville VA doesn't have enough vaccine.

The Asheville VA called me today to set me up for a first shot of Moderna. I explained that I had already gotten both shots locally.
Seems like the VA has gotten a shipment of vaccine and is giving to vets 65 and older.

NC is about to go to group 2 which is teachers and essential workers. Probably making sure anyone over 65 has had their chance.
That’s crazy that the VA got their allotment so late.

waited on the state's web site to make an appointment for 2 1/2 hours but got kicked off. Guess they ran out of slots. PITA.

Yes 1 Year After Vaccine Release

    @Patrickbrick said:
There is a ton of information not given, for example why does everyone “need” it. If I don’t get it how am a “huge” risk to others, if they are vaccinated what’s my risk to them? My state is already putting laws in the books that in order to be in certain facilities one must produce their vaccination card. This is getting way out of hand, the total control due to fear mongering is well underway.

From what I’ve read lately I think the biggest benefit of the vaccine for the country is to slow and stop the virus from mutating which causes hyper-contagious/problematic variants strains (E.g. UK variant, South Africa variant). The original virus isn’t so much the problem anymore, it’s the variants, and if allowed to run rampant the virus will keep mutating into new strains. The vaccine will slow down that process, and of course choosing to do nothing will accelerate the process.

Everyone has a choice, and that’s why I love this country. But the above was reasonable and made sense to me so that’s why I got it.

^^^ If that's true, why is there a different flu vax out every year? That hasn't slowed the mutations a bit. Both the flu and the plain old common cold are caused by corona viruses. After decades of flu vaccines, we still have the flu and I've been hearing since Ike was president that there's no cure for the common cold. I'm supposed to just believe the flu is non existent and they came up with a vax for this in less than a year? Not buying it. Anywhere I have to show a vax card to get into I don't need to be.

Because of a billion strains over decades of unchecked spreading. Vaccines come out every year for a particular strain that they think is going to be predominant over the next flu season. Your antibodies fade over time and that's why you can't cure the flu and you can't cure Corona virus. That's also why sometimes it seems like the shot doesn't work. That part's not a government conspiracy It's just bad luck that you got a different strain. The government conspiracy is the internet and cell phones, which everybody here is on anyways. JD was the only smart one and got off of all of that stuff....

No shot for me or the wife. We both declined at work as we are both considered front line workers. We made the choice based on the fact we plan on having another child within the next year and a half and there have been zero studies done on reproductive side effects. We are both in good health and figured the vaccines could be routed to someone that needed them.

Got my second shot, No side effects to report, but since I was injected with nanorobots, I will report anything you say.

On an unrelated note, does anyone have any good Cuban cigar sources?

Got my first shot on Monday, shoulder soreness was stronger than expected but otherwise no symptoms. Very excited to get back to normal, very unexcited about returning to the office.
