Thanks, brother, definitely needed this weekend. Trying to take care of her largely on my own.

Having a co-worker who always seems to have car trouble, sickness, court, ingrown toe nails on Fridays and Monday. Wish this was the old days when you could take someone behind the building and have a nice painful discussion. It's only 40 hours a week for your sorry ass, I do a min of 60 each week. Just show the *** up!.

Chilton's manuals are MUCH cheaper than $154. Auto repair is a racket on a par with the medical establishment - legalized financial rape IMHO.

Exactly!! My old man and I do most of our repairs whenever possible. Much cheaper and we get good times together. Maybe that should go in things I love...

I too am learning this. Got my Oil changed a few weeks ago $130.
After that I decided my brakes and tire rotation were easy enough to do on my own.

Agreed fellas----but for me to take out the steering in my car to replace an actuator deep in the column would be not much easier than me completing open heart surgery on myself.

Even if I offer to hold the light? LOL.

I would make the same offer if you decide to go ahead with that surgery Dave. I want you to know that I'm there for ya bro'.

Now where the hell is my scalpel and grease gun?

Take me 30 minutes to find the proper side of a screwdriver...then I usually just end up grabbing the hammer anyway.

Yikes! If thats what you've got going on, suddenly the price you got quoted seems a bit of a bargain! LOL
