They just closed schools here for tomorrow and Wednesday because of the forecasted -60+ wind chills.

The head of the district I work for is shutting down everything on Wednesday, we laughed. Our building (unless vetoed) will be the only one open. Why the **** would an ice rink close because its cold.

-15º straight temp, feels like -40 with wind. Just to give you southerners an idea how cold that is, the first two blocks driving home for the evening are pretty rough. It's because the tires are frozen with a flat spot on them where they were in contact with the ground.4

I don't know. The weather maps have become totally unreliable. Showed us in the middle of a snowstorm two days ago, not a single flake. Showed I don't know what yesterday there were so many colors to figure out. I let Molly, our energizer pug, out this morning and he came back shivering, so I guess it is cold. But the sun is out....0

Hit a low around -20 straight temp last week but not as bad as some got. Then it got up to nearly 60 on Saturday and it's back down to sub-zero temps in the next couple days. Mother Nature is a crazy b.1

We used to have a plant in Vivian. Never got down there before it closed.
