I spend 10 hours a day sitting at a desk looking at cigars and whiskey and posting random stupid things on forums.

Drove my adult child to San Leandro for their first COVID-19 vaccine. Stopped for Ice Cream on the way home.

I get my first shot Monday in San Jose.

Saturday morning, wife went to work and kids are at my moms until noon.

And I need to clean the pool and trim trees. Then go grocery shopping.

    Exciting.....

6 inches of snow overnight. Seems to be a break in the snowfall so it’s time to get ahead of the curve and start blowing.

I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...

One can hope. Managed to get the drive and most of the road cleared. The second shift of snow started just as I was finishing. The guessers are calling for another 8 inches or so tonight & tomorrow.

There’s a half mile of road to clear... c’mon up! Why should I have all this fun to myself?

No, thanks. Been there, done that (figuratively speaking. I didn’t clear any snow). I worked in Fairbanks and up at Prudhoe Bay in 1969. Seen all the snow and tundra I needed then...... 👍👴🏻

It was always said that my grandmother was Native American but that clearly isn’t the case, then we had a woman contact my mom a year ago saying she thought she was somehow related to the same grandmother but she was of French and Spanish descent. I’m clearly not related to her either.

Last year we had to put up a 2' fence around our garden to keep the rabbits out. This year it's deer. There is a small herd of four or five does that are bedding down in our spring hollow. I think a least two will deliver young so we will have a bunch to contend with. Two foot fence will not do it needed to be six foot.. So I bought a couple of rolls of four foot fence. The two foot fence is supported by four foot 3/8 rebar stakes so I got 20 ten foot plastic 1/2 conduit lengths. I cut the conduit to six foot three inches and sleeved all the existing rebar stakes. With the help of a friend we unrolled the fencing and used zip ties to tie it to the stakes on top of the two foot fence to give us six feet. After fabricating three gates we can now keep the deer out. Pain in the Azz.

Blood meal works but it has some disadvantages, it lowers soil pH and attracts dogs, possums, and raccoons.

Don't think a 6 footer is enough. A deer farm has 9/10 foot fences.

I agree 6’ isn’t going to cut it, my MIL has deer in her back yard in San Jose all the time.

I heard something about big cat urine once.
