Post Every Boring Aspect Of Your Mundane Life Thread

Went forward in time this morning and backward in time this afternoon. Drove down off the mountain this morning about a hour for a dental appointment. The trees are bare up here but on the drive down spring appeared. Red Buds were blooming as was the Bradford Pears. The trees were waking up. Saw the dentist and hit the road back. Coming back I went backward in time and the leaves vanished and trees are still sleeping up here on the mountain. Every time I drive down the mountain I get to see the beauty of spring, most years several times.

A good cigar and the open road solve most problems.

Replaced three outdoor steps up a bank to my studio. Cut some recycled PT 2x4x 12" and bored two 3/8 holes centered a couple of inches in from both ends. Pinned the step in with 3/8 rebar 12" long. Pulled the blade on the lawnmower and sharpened it. Will start a flat of radicchio and escarole tomorrow.

Tomatoes already, jealous I am. You are about a month and a half ahead of us.1 -
@silvermouse Edward I may have jumped the gun on this season. Still pretty cold and unusually rainy inclimate weather. We will see 🤞🏼

I bought a new moving coil phono cartridge that arrived yesterday, and for the first time in my life, I installed a cartridge on a headshell. It was nerve-wracking due to the tiny wires and precision required, and the distinct possibility of damaging the stylus or cantilever in the process. I've been a nervous Nelly for the last couple of days in anticipation of this. But my normal approach to difficult tasks is to tell my stinkin'-thinkin' to shut up and realize the people who get paid to do this stuff are not any smarter or more capable than me. On Monday I will set up my turntable with this new cartridge and get everything else lined up which is also a complicated task.

Best wishes to you @Jrflickster . I served one 4-year term as a town councilman for my town of a few hundred residents, in the early 90s. It was the worst four years of my life.
