Uh, no... Stanford is the Cardinals. Insert Notre Dame instead of Stanford. And, add Marshall. They are Division 1A now. So I guess there are six. That piece of trivia must have been old when it was told to me.

Damn you Holmes for leading us astray:) LOL....And not to get picky, but since all I know in the this world in Sports and Cigars, Stanford is actually the 'Stanford Cardinal'----there is truly no S on it. And Notre Dame (which I thought was the answer originally) is not in any conference----they are independant, which is why I didnt include them. I know it sounds like I am a pr!ck or having to correct you-----but just figured Id let ya know.

And I don't take it personally, so don't worry. As for Notre Dame, you are correct, they aren't in one of the six BCS conferences. But the clue that I gave was the team was one of five that didn't end in S in D1A... so I had to include Notre Dame in that clue. Otherwise, I'd have had to leave off Syracuse as well.

And as for Stanford... that's a new one on me. Not that I really ever cared about them. I just thought they were the Cardinals. If it ain't SEC sports, it doesn't matter!
