Welcome @Silverado20, don't trust @peter4jc, I had to fire him as my CAS Sponsor because every time I had a craving to buy cigars instead of talking me down he egged me on. With friends like these...
Ask your 9 yo about vHerf, they probably are using Zoom for school. Appropriate because if you jump on vHerf you'll get schooled on cigars. It's the advanced course.

@Silverado20 , you may be the most welcomed member ever. You did your homework. Nice! Hopefully you stick around. It's an interesting bunch of outliers here. We tend not to take ourselves too seriously most of the time. Even on serious matters, you'll find that while someone may despise your political pick or your favorite sports team, they don't transfer that feeling to you. Perhaps you'll fit in. I look forward to your contributions.
If the powers that be ever deign to bring viable internet to my area, instead of the 0.0023 mbps service that's actually provided, I'll try and get on V-herf with the rest of you. That reality got voted in, then once the town-dwellers got theirs they voted to discontinue progress for the rest of the county. Then, suddenly, there was an emergency meeting where all the folks who'd voted to deny it to the rest of us had miraculously changed their minds. I suspect they got a lot of cards and letters in the intervening weeks.

Well Hello Everybody! My name is Cam, a Bay Area local, more specifically San Jose. New-ish to cigars and forums. Been told I’ve got an obsessive addictive personality, but I’m not sure if I believe it (I just like nice things alright). I’d say my love for quality whisky and cognac opened the doors for a new cigar addiction.. oops I mean “collection”.
The cigar experience that hooked me came on a trip to Tahoe while sitting at the tables (there’s that addictive personality again). I had picked up a Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9 toro for myself and a buddy at our local shop West Coast Cigars. I could not believe how well the cognac I was drinking paired with the cigar, and wondered why the hell I wasn’t smokin earlier. From that moment I was hooked.
I’ve gotten a chance to do some research about cigars, so I’ve got a baseline knowledge of the industry, but I’m extremely eager to expand my cigar knowledge. Also, I’ve had a chance to poke around in this forum and quickly found out I’ve got a lot to learn. What in the world is vHerf, DZR, dry begging, and trump’s white privilege card?! I’ll know with time I suppose. Looking forward to learning from ya’ll.

Hello to all. I am Kevin I am a newbie to cigars. I’ve smoked cigars in the past but never knew much about them. The more I look into it the more I want to get involved the right way. If there is a right way. What I mean is I want to start developing my palate, tasting notes and taking that journey while smoking a cigar that people describe.
I recently did some research and made some purchases. My newly found obsession will begin tonight with a Plasencia Reserva Original.
I am looking forward to learning more and more about cigars so I’m glad to be here.

Welcome @KHarvey365. When you need more storage,... Don't buy another, bigger humidor. Get a Coleman xtreme cooler. Spend less on storage. You'll need that money for cigars.

@VegasFrank haha man if I smoke 25 sticks in a week it would probably be more of a problem than anything else at this beginning stage of my cigar hobby.
