Figured I better make an account and post since I have been hanging out with you all. Avid smoker who was a broker and in the industry for quite awhile. Live in central Texas and enjoy smoking almost anything at least twice… Tonight’s adventure is smoking with these folks.

Welcome to the madhouse, Philip. It was a pleasure meeting you.
Hello, Christopher Hawks here. I've been enjoying cigars for a few years but haven't attempted a deep dive with them until last November. Now, I feel I've been bitten by the bug. I just began cruising/lurking forums to gain more knowledge and this seems to be one of the more active groups. Considering I've only just scratched the surface, I am looking forward to the education and participating in the games. Over the next few weeks I will only be able to post sporadically. I believe there are enough vets around to understand when I say I am going to be knee deep in a PCS beginning tomorrow. Truth be told, sporadic posts will likely be my MO. Good to meet all of you, talk soon.

@Hobbes86 Correct, I am from Texas. Grew up outside of Houston, but I am dislocated. The privateer organization I work for stationed my family in the Bay Area.
Hi guys. I’m 44. Ex-Tall Ship captain. Was a traditional wooden shipbuilder for 15 years in Maine and switched to computer programming so that I could afford to smoke what I want.

I smoke about six every day. I've blown a hell of a lot of money on cigars because I don't waste time smoking low quality stogies. I'm sure almost all of you are in the same boat. What's the point of spending our precious time on cheap cigars when we have so many options that are of such high quality? I've recently dipped my toe into the waters of boutique cigars and that has been a fun trial-and-error experience.
I buy smokes from all over the internet so, on Cigar.com, I'm only a 4,000+ point Platinum member. Keep 'em lit!

Welcome to all the new guys, hope you enjoy the party.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.

Welcome, @TX_PhunGuy, @Hawks.
We seem to be accumulating a lot of Texans in here, getting to be a regular Alamo!

Welcome Todd, tall ship captain sounds cool. I was in a sailing club in high school back in the day which sailed out of Dana Point.
There must be an echo in this place... LOL

Welcome @ArmyRanger375, I like your attitude.
Here's some good links for cigars we forum members rated highly (Top 25) that may take the hit-or-miss out of the boutique cigar hunt.
