My wife was a cigarette smoker for many many years. She had 'quit' multiple times and usually only smokes when we are out for a drink at our local hangout( she's the queen of "Can I buy a cigarette off of the bartender?") Since I've started my cigar hobby she will encourage me to buy when the deals are there, likes to sit outside with me and occasionally enjoys one for herself. As a lifelong non smoker I still have feelings of hypocrisy at times but she is supportive of it.
Don't feel like a hypocrite. Cigars are not cigarette replacements. Cigarettes are cheap knockoffs. You don't have to drink Shasta Cola before you can enjoy a Coke

Supportive......hmmm I muse..... I live on one end of the house......everyone else lives on the other. Is there a message there? Now I do burn white sage everyday and no one has voiced a complaint.
Children services came in once and wanted me to stop smoking cigars. That did not happen.
My Wife actually got me started. When our neighbor has their annual Kentucky Derby Party their Son in Law always brings some cigars for a few friends. When I mentioned how I enjoyed the smell and would like to try one she surprised me by having him get me an assortment of Nat Sherman's for Christmas. He lives in NY city. Well I was hooked from there on. She even bought me a humidor because she didn't want them to not be properly stored. Last night we were out on the deck and I fired up a Cohiba and she asked if that was what I was smoking. Lucky, yes I am and that doesn't even come close to describing her.

Aah jeeze. I'll break it to her gently. Maybe I should light up a cigar prior to a cigarette

Have to brag on my Lady a little. She enjoys visiting Cuban Crafters, Perdomo stores and enjoys a Java or other flavored cigar with me sometimes. Made friends with the lady manager at the Perdomo store and brings me home what she finds on sale when she visits
