I wonder how it would be with honey instead of jam? Or waffles instead of a bun? Now I'm intrigued, since I love peanut butter on my waffles, and chicken satay is pretty good. Lots of ideas I might have to try now, thanks!

It was pretty good, I didn't add any cheese to it though I chickened out.
Leek, onion. celery, carrot, potato, and bratwurst soup. Made stock from a garlic and rosemary roasted chicken we had yesterday. Added onion, carrot, and celery when cooking down the stock. Used the stock for the base of the soup. Had it with corn bread made with fresh corn, corn meal and cilantro in a cast iron skillet.

@First_Warrior , everything in the soup sounds great, but cilantro in the cornbread? Blech!

Your kids can destroy granite? Not sure if IOU props or sympathy 🙃
I think @VegasFrank needs to feed those kids and then his granite would be safe, though letting them eat granite is probably easier than cooking four different dinners every night for them.

Then I made chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. *Wife made the rice.
