FYI, I love to cook, BBQ, bake, and brew. Travel the world just to eat and drink.
I also want the freshest foods possible. I grow it, hunt it, fish for it, and harvest whatever I can.
I fish a few times a week. Mostly catch and release. Don't keep fish unless I'm asked to bring some to someone or I'm having them for dinner.
That being said I went to restaurant depot and found Snow Crabs on sale for 61 bucks for. 10lb box. Bought three boxes and had to call friends to stock their freezers.
I also have Stone Crab traps that do very well. I can walk around at night during low tides and catch shrimp and Blue Crabs while smoking a stick. All good things. Needless to say I eat very well.
Last night we had a crab fest. Tonight we have a few people come over for the same. This is what they're having for dinner at my house.
Green Chili Stew. Made with roasted Poblano and Jalapeño fresh chilis, Guajillo, Ancho and Pasillo Negro dried chilis, pork shoulder, onion, garlic, cumin, chicken stock, tomatoes, and hominy. Braised three hours and we had it with brown rice. I added chopped fresh sweet onion, sharp cheddar, and sour cream to mine. Got three pints for the freezer.
Had hamburger tacos last night with 2 taco seasoning packets. Very spicy. Soft over hard shells. Forgot to buy shredded iceberg lettuce. Just meat, cheese and habanero street sauce.

First salad of the year from the garden -- arugula, butter crunch and red sails lettuce; tuna salad, rice with peas, garlic, and lime juice. Planted the lettuce last October, it overwintered just fine.
Fantastic chili. I was worried it would be too hot or too mild but it was just right. It cleared up my sinuses and my forehead wants to sweat but isnt.

Made some burgers, sweet potato fries, and corn on the cob after replacing my filtered water spigot, pruning the neighbor's tree overhanging the fence where I hang the movie screen, and doing some grocery shopping, but no picture. Everyone is happy tonight.
