Update on the baseball practice multiple politician assignation attempts. CNN and left is calling harder for gun control now, FOX and right wants concealed carry for politicians.
The shooting took place in a gun-free zone.
Of course it did, they all do. Mass shooters carefully pick "gun-free zones" before they begin shooting. School shootings, mall shootings, churches. What fun would it be shooting fish in a barrel if the fish could shoot back? Might not get your free food and shelter for the rest of your miserable life. You could get hurt!

"If you do not read the newspapers you're uninformed. If you do read the newspapers, you're misinformed." -- Mark Twain
Best summation I've seen comes from Stilton Jarlsburg:
A massacre was barely averted Wednesday ... when a "lone wolf" terrorist opened fire on Republicans - because they were Republicans - who were practicing on a baseball field for an upcoming charity game.
The hate-filled gunman, killed by police, is thought to have been "self-radicalized" by violence-promoting materials easily found on the Internet and posted by the incendiary imams of Left-think, a group which sadly includes many liberal politicians, most mainstream "news" outlets, and virtually all social media platforms.
The shooter hadn't bothered to hide his political anger from others because he didn't have to. So pervasive is anti-Trump (and Republican and conservative) rhetoric and calls for violence on social media that his many posts and re-posts on the subject didn't strike anyone as out of the ordinary. He was just a needle in a hate stack.
Let that appalling thought sink in for a moment.
Needle in a hate stack. Which way is that needle pointing?
“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)

Trump names son’s wedding planner to lead federal housing office
She little to no experience what so ever. Like most who have been assigned positions.
Lynne Patton, Eric Trump's wedding planner and former Vice President of the Eric Trump Foundation, has been chosen by the Trump administration to lead Region II of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which includes New York and New Jersey.
Starting July 5, Patton will oversee Section 8 vouchers, various grant programs, and billions of dollars in federal funding for public housing, according to The New York Daily News.
Her resume didn't include experience in anything related to housing or urban planning until January 2017, when she was appointed as HUD's director of public engagement.
In 2014, Patton planned the wedding of Eric Trump, son of Donald Trump, and was an advisor to the Trump campaign. From 2009 to 2011, she was a Trump Organization event organizer of"upscale events and celebrity golf tournaments," PR, and fundraising.
Her LinkedIn page also lists Yale University as her alma mater, a fact Politico suggests is not true. For two semesters, she attended the Quinnipiac University of Law but did not graduate, according to the NY Daily News. She holds an undergraduate degree in English literature and psychology from the University of Miami.
As HUD's Region II director, Patton will be responsible for distributing funds to important city services, including the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), which needs an estimated $17 billion in upgrades. In March, NYCHA officials told The Wall Street Journal that HUD may slash up to $150 million in funding from its programs — the largest decrease in five years.
The states of New York and New Jersey rely on HUD's programs to provide vital social services, disaster recovery, and investments in critical infrastructure. Patton will likely have a steep learning curve.
Like the president, Patton is an avid Twitter user, using the social media platform to praise the president and his family, defend Carson’s claim that poverty is a state of mind and criticize the leaking of memos by former FBI director James Comey.
Patton visited the New York City Housing Authority in May but did not enter a NYCHA apartment. NYCHA Chairwoman Shola Olatoye told the New York Daily News that Patton’s reaction was “surprise, maybe a little bit horrified” when she visited a community center in the Bronx.
Patton will begin her new HUD job July 5.

Kinda reminds you of Mike Brown, head of the Arabian Horse Association until appointed FEMA director by George Junior. I thought the moment Bush said: "You're doing a great job Brownie" was the moment his party lost the country.
Well, it's not like the political pros have done that great a job. A phone book and a fistful of darts, is what I say.
The hell's a "director of public engagement" anyways? Kinda reminds me of a New Age job title I ran onto at one of our clients, a university, couple months back: "Provider of First Impressions". Ten bucks an hour. Gave the job to one of their grad students after she earned her Masters. Guess what it is? Receptionist. Six years at the U and if they like you you can pay off your student loans 400 bucks a week answering the phone and telling walk-ins: "Down the hall and to the left."

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping the police and all that. But.......bring me a warrant with a time and date on it and I'll gladly give you the footage I have. If I am forced to provide access to it, then I envision alot of cameras will be removed or taken off the web. Which is the ultimate goal of the Oregon lawmakers. For those people who voluntarily provide access, good for them.
I have provided footage to the local police from my cameras and had no problem doing it. But it was selective and voluntary.
Agree or disagree, they are private systems and up to the owner whether they want to share.

Students asked to bring canned beans so they can fight armed gunman
When is a can of beans more than just a can of beans?
When it's a weapon of self-defense for students to throw at an armed intruder who has just entered their school.
That's one scenario Valley, Alabama, officials are considering as part of their training to respond to school shootings.
Though it may strike some as an insignificant and perhaps even silly response to a deadly problem, it's no joke at W.F. Burns Middle School.
It's part of active shooter response training offered by the ALICE Training Institute, a company founded by a former police officer and former elementary school principal.
School officials have gotten some criticism for sending a letter to parents asking students to bring canned goods to attack would-be intruders.
"We realize at first this may seem odd; however, it is a practice
Politicians just burned 50 million dollars for a special election. Dems spent over 35 million. The sad part is that everyone is bragging about it.
Regardless of your political side, do you really think any of these clowns care about $$$, your tax dollars or the retired lady getting 400.00 a month living off SS.
Washington at it's best. Blow as much as we can, someone else will be paying for it.

from an article in the Washington Post about 'augmented reality' :
"Playing up the AR features for the iPhone — using Apple's innovative design techniques — could be one way to further push Apple to the front of the pack, Miunovich said. The smartphone screen could become a tool for making users more aware of the wider world rather than distracting them from it. "[We] can picture the phone looking like a clear piece of glass when looking through the camera,” he said in the note. “Rather than staring down at a screen while we walk across the street or stand in line, we would be far more engaged with the world around us.”"
Less than a week after a mistrial was declared in Bill Cosby’s criminal case for the 2004 sexual assault of Andrea Constand, the actor shamelessly is getting ready to go on the road to teach people how to avoid being charged with sexxx crimes.

This country is phucked for four years. Phucking Trump never believed he would be elected and is now just grasping at straw. Actually he has been grasping at straw ever since elected. He is better at grasping a shaft; graphite, aluminum, composite or flesh. Either of them might produce a hole in one. Straw, not so much. Just my humble opinion. Peace.
