Do you cover it in the oven? I ask because I hate the mess that comes with cooking bacon stovetop.
I do not, I put tinfoil in the pan first because I hate doing dishes and then bake it at 400. I wouldn't be surprised if a few drops splattered about but in my opinion it's an oven, not a living room, and the grease drops can wait until I end up spilling something and it becomes oven cleaning time.
I'm probably a heretic but I like to cook mine in a large, deep, straight sided pan with the lid on and I cook it on medium heat, not medium-high, until it's crispy. I stumbled across a bacon blog years ago that advocated this method. I hate spattering all over the oven and I use some of the grease from the pan for cooking eggs half the time. Since I do the dishes I like to re-use the pan so I don't have to make room in the dishwasher for two pans.
I also top it with freshly ground pepper as I cook it.

Five days each week they dine on high-fat fare like bacon, cheese, and eggs fried in butter. Two days they fast. Though this weekly eating regimen may not sound like a prescription for good health, it’s made a dramatic difference in the lives of some children with hard-to-manage epilepsy, report Hopkins neurologists Adam Hartman and Eric Kossoff.

Very interesting, I have a brother-in-law that has epilepsy. Though he is no longer a child, I wonder if something like this could be beneficial to him.

Well the way I see it... I’ve tried bacon and I’ve tried cocaine. I crave bacon. Have no use for cocaine. So as far as I’m concerned bacon is more addictive.

Bacon dates back at least 3,500 years. The Chinese were the first to cook salted pork bellies. The salt preserved the meat so it could be eaten all year.

Not from Greenland, but I think I have the gene! Not always though! I tipped at 300 ish when younger! Now I seem to be able to eat anything, and hang right around 200! German and Irish, by the way!
King John's attempt to wrest control of Rochester Castle from the local barons using provisions in the Magna Carta, which the Pope declared to “not only shameful and demeaning, but also illegal and unjust”, the local barons locked themselves in the castle and declared a siege in 1215.
King John was able to breach the castle with “forty of the fattest pigs, the sort least good for eating” ignited in a tunnel under the castle. (In a word before gun-powder, pig-fat was used as an explosive and as a fire-starter.)
Another testament to the power of pig fat and bacon.

Oh FFS don’t mess with the bacon
I guess I should change it to abuse then....

Bacon was arguably the first food eaten on the moon.
