Drank 1/2 pot of half-caffeine yesterday morning. Followed by another 3 half pots of decaf over the course of the day. Ran out of coffee around 9:30 pm and decided to go out and get some large decaf iced coffees at 10 pm. Nearest Dunks wad closed so went to McDonald's and bought 2 full-caff iced coffees. I'm still awake at 5:40 am. Stupid me. Good thing I'm on vacation.

Yep, they are pollinators and are important as we are losing pollinators. I won't use poison in any form for anything. I figure to move the chair to a place where we won't get tangled up with the hornets. I'll get up before daybreak and see about it.
Hostas are blooming strong this year. The red ones are Bee Balm. There is a section in the woods along side a small stream that is carpeted with Bee Balm.
Finally figured out my Illinois toll issue...I forget the 2 letters infront of my numbers. Would like to blame Illinois but this ones on me.
Next year I'll be all set with my ipass though
My scroll saw bit the dust this morning after 15 years of heavy use so spent a few hours cutting out 30 fish bracelets with one of these and immediately ordered a new DeWalt scroll saw. My hands are killing me, I used to be able to saw for days on end.
Tonight, I noticed a new floater in my left eye. It's just a black spot near my center of vision and down a little bit left. It looks like a fruit fly and it's all I can do to not swat at it.

Normally, I cup my cigarette when lighting with my bic. My lighter ran empty this morning. When I went to use my torch to light my cigarette I burned the hell out of the cupped hand. Fml.

Do they come and go or are they permanent?
This one is almost gone. So now those are real fruit flies.
Sometimes they last longer, like a few weeks. Sometimes they're there for my annual eye exam and my optometrist sees them. Usually, they're little squiggly lines.

Got an amusing problem with a juvenile blue jay. It started last week when three times it dumped the cigar butts out of my ash tray. Went out a few minutes ago to finish the Sky Moon I started earlier and it was covered with ashes and the burned end was all pecked up. I don't know whether it is playing with me or genuinely irritated that I left a burning cigar near the water dishes that are left out for the birds.
Lost my newest trainee today...sucks he was a good one. He went back where he came from at a better position so can't blame him. One of those guys that gave me the weight lifted off my shoulders type feeling. Oh well it is what it is
Saw a hen turkey and five jakes this AM on my walk. Yesterday jumped "Old Splay Foot" , a big whitetail buck at a creek bottom. Named for the separation in the tracks of his front hoofs that he leaves on soft ground. The tracks looked like hog tracks at first. I've seen him three times this year. Never seen another person or tracks of a person on my 2 mile walks through the woods. Just how I like it.
Reported to my new, and possibly, last unit today. No more deployments from here on. Wife says she'll believe it when she sees it. Also was reminded that those of us from my basic company that are left had our nineteenth anniversary last week. Time really flies. I swear I just enlisted a few months ago.

Most birds have a strong aversion to becoming lunch. Go figure.

Found this growing on a chair in our back yard. Do not want to set in this chair when naked.
Hope you are going to let them have the chair for a few months

Just took a 5 hour round trip to Marion KY to pickup a transmission for my son’s car this evening.

My son brought home a very nice Remington 03a3 and an Arisaka. Unfortunately, the Arisaka's stock was sporterized.

Got the mum?
No. Those are mostly gi take home rifles. Anything imported won't have a mum.
