@11thGenSoutherner, looks tasty. How long will it take until it's ready to eat?

Follow up question: How long have they been in the pickling juice so far?

Maybe 2 months. I keep adding things and having to add more juice as I go. I alternate between different 1/2 gallon jars

It's good to see you're relaxing today, Rodger.

Shawn, you will learn as you get into your 70's that it becomes "use it or lose it" time.

You are an inspiration Rodger. It time for me to stand up or just lay down. Talked to a neighbor this morning who is in his 70's and still plays ball, has 6 doubleheaders on the schedule this week. I'm not sure I want to be that healthy but I suppose it would be ok to get by another couple months.

I only need to stay healthy enough to pour myself a drink and light a cigar. Oh, and make it to the 🚽 in time.

On my morning walk I cut up to the fairgrounds. Folks were setting up a draft horse pull. It is the fifth year for this event. I didn't stay for the event but I took a look at the horses and the weighted sleds the teams would be pulling. Lots of concrete blocks on the sleds and the horses are BIG. Nice to be rural.

Those are covered pot plants in the background. My brother's tenant seems to have a green thumb.

I would say so. Those are massive! I thought you had a pest problem with fruit trees. 😆

When my brother was in high school, he worked at dairy farm and had a plant growing behind the barn. Had to use a chainsaw to cut it when it started growing above the barn and was visible to the highway.

Pops wandered off yesterday, we found him about a half mile down the road with his two water buckets he uses to water the plants out back. First time but I guess we knew it was coming.
