Removed some of the original wirering in my garage. I disconnected it soon after I moved in. Cleaning the garage today.
That splice wasn't in a box or even taped. Only the wire nuts had tape.
I helped a buddy do some remodeling in his house, and we found a few cases similar to that. And the prior owner, who did the work, claimed to be a Master Electrician. Yeah, a MasterBating Electrician, maybe.
Up at 4 and headed up to my studio after a quick bite. Brewed up a press of Peter's finest and enjoyed that and a Killer Bee. Spent an hour sketching and had an idea for my next canvas. Spent some time at the drill press drilling very small holes in some bamboo rods for a mixed media I am finishing. Sanded 14 bamboo rods to break the glaze so the paint will stick.
Lit out with my walking stick for an hour and a half through the woods. Found some apples on the ground and left them in the woods for the deer.
Back home checked the weather and it seems like Helene is going to give us 5-10 of rain. Spent the rest of the day getting ready. Took a shovel and spent 2 hours digging out the ditches around my studio. Nothing is flat around here so runoff ditches are important. Worked in the garden for a hour and finally checked all the gutters. Had to get the extension ladder out but all are now clear. Will draw up several 5 gallon buckets of water at the house and my studio.
In foul weather in these parts the roads close pretty fast because of the widowmakers that come down. Sometimes we have had sections of the road give way and slide down the mountain. After supper, that I cooked by the way, I had to set this 78 year old body down in front of the computer.

Got a bad flat on the way to work this morning. The place I was at was way too busy to change it there. Fortunately I was only about a mile from work so I limped it there and then changed the tire. The tire is trashed now. Fortunately I have a good spare.
Did grocery shopping on the way home from work. Got home to a broken elevator. My son and I made one trip up three flights of stairs. I left the bag of canned goods in the truck for tomorrow.
It's been a really bad birthday so far. Hopefully my special occasion smoke burns properly.

Don’t know, don’t care yet. Anything but what I do. I submitted my resignation Wednesday, my last day is October 11th. I’m happy, and actually getting some sleep

Greatly improved, she has ditched her prescription driving glasses, her TV-watching glasses and just uses weak drugstore readers for close up work and computer. I hope your vision improves too. I'm thinking about the same but have some other med issues to attend to this year.
I had them correct my vision in the left but had them leave the right (my dominant eye) uncorrected. Shouldn't need anything but cheaters for my phone and computer work.

A good cigar and whiskey solve most problems.
