You can tell the USPS is a government run organization because it doesn't usually get things done when they say they will and they never offer a refund for not doing what they say they will do.
I wish I could sign up for an alternative mail carrier.

Have 3 packages sitting in the main PO in town and have been there 10 days. They weren’t supposed to be left there; they should have bedn delivered as the address says. Can’t pick them up due to the out-the-door line. Who’s got 3 hours to stand in line at a post office which isn’t open on weekends and has decided to stop doing their basic job of delivering mail? Haven’t seen the mail weenie in over a week. They’re “short-staffed”, the website says. We are too. We’re short staffed and we can’t haul your dear granny to Seattle for her life saving heart surgery, so I guess she’s just gonna die. We all have to make sacrifices these days….
I'm still troubled by what I did for that Klondike bar...
Made a purchase from Smokingpipes in South Carolina on the 7th, label created and package shipped that afternoon, was in Memphis in less than 24 hours. Good job USPS. Now, it's the 10th. Package still in Memphis. How does it take less than 24 hours to get all the way to Memphis, yet in > 48 hours it can't get out of Memphis?
I don't know what the problem is, but I do know where.

I've had that happen on several of my shipments. The package usually ends up being found and sent on without issue, but sometimes there's a more serious issue than they seem to have lost the package.

Got a notice stuck to the hangar door a couple weeks ago: Unable to deliver, go to blah blah blah to reschedule. So I did. Their unhelpful website wouldn’t work the half dozen attempts I made, so I dealt with their annoying “customer support” phone computer. Rescheduled for delivery on the 11th, got a confirmation number and everything. Never showed. Did it all again & set up for the 15th. New conf. number. Again, never showed.
The notice says clearly to arrange delivery by the 15th or it gets sent back to the sender. B*stards sent it back on the 10th.

So the guy’s celebrating getting bills?
Celebrating NOT getting any that day
“…NOT bringing me NO bills…” so the mailman brought bills and Joe Grammarless is a happy guy. Odd.
Same package has now arrived in Chicago twice and departed the facility twice as well.
Only 17days so far. They might drop it off this time as they go by

That bites, Paul. Those Klondike bars I sent have probably all melted by now.

I believe I've seen my packages get stuck in Memphis before.
Same here. If I have one go through Memphis it always gets delayed.
I was in Memphis once and I didn't want to leave either. Give them boxes some slack.
The cigars I sent Shawn also got held up in Memphis for a few days.

It'll be fine once the swelling goes down.
One day from Philadelphia to St Louis, then 5 days for the last 300 miles.
Don't let the wife know what you spend on guns, ammo or cigars.
Postal slob didn't pick up my packages, even though they had dropped off one from Nick.
I got a email stating there is a delivery exception. New one for me. Any ideas what's going on?
New one to me. Any chance it was flagged for a hazardous material?
That or maybe damaged beyond repair?
A postal slob that likes cigars got a sniff of what's in it and absconded with it?

Alaska is supposed to be returned to Russia according to one official. Maybe USPS jumped the gun.
Ooh, we're really going to pay though the nose at the pump when that happens.
Maybe Russian postal service is reliable!
Ordered these late on Monday, paid the extra $10 for priority shipping, hoping they'd arrive today.
Checked the tracking number today and got this.
